Kruger Shalati

Kruger National Park

Kruger Shalati Location Map

Permanently stationed on the historically-rich Selati Bridge above the Sabie River in the iconic Kruger National Park, Kruger Shalati offers the most unique luxury accommodation in a re-envisioned train, which pays homage to the guests who explored the park nearly 100 years ago while welcoming new explorers from near and far.

The train celebrates where the first visits to the Park were allowed in the early 1920s, when the train would park overnight in the exact spot where Kruger Shalati is now positioned.

Guests at Kruger Shalati have an all-inclusive stay, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea and house drinks in a private dining area at the Bridge House (exclusive to guests), with room service optional. Guests can also enjoy two complimentary game drives (morning and evening) as part of their stay.

Guests can have a drink at the Round in 9 Bar, which is part of the Kruger Station Precinct, adjacent to Kruger Shalati. Day visitors to the Park also frequent this bar.  The 3638 Restaurant is also situated at the Precinct, offering world-class cuisine with an African twist.

There are 24 Carriage Rooms which are located on the Selati Bridge overlooking the Sabie River. The en-suite bathroom with magnificent views through ceiling-to-floor glass walls plus a small lounge area with a Juliet balcony. Access to these rooms are via a walkway on the bridge.

In addition, there are 7 land based Bridge House Suites. Some of these are interleading, making them ideal for families.  One is a Honeymoon Suite which has a private garden and pool and an outdoor shower.

Each Carriage and Bridge Room is designed with local art and crafts to celebrate Africa's beautiful designs.

Aligned with the floor level of the train lies a deck with a pool, offering guests the unique experience of taking a dip while watching crocodiles, hippos and elephants just meters below.
