Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge Location Map

Set on the banks of the Mluwati River in a private 10,000 hectare unfenced concession in the heart of the famous Kruger National Park, the unique Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is a staggering explosion of ethnic luxury encompassing both warmth and style.

Morning and afternoon game drives, led by experienced rangers, follow the wildlife through the bushveld for an unforgettable safari experience. Some of the drives will be on the lodge's own concession, where your guide will have the opportunity to drive offroad to get you unbelievably close to the wildlife, but others may be in the Kruger Park itself, where your ranger will be restricted to remaining on the road network at all times. Daily walks are also optional guest activities.

Evenings are spent under the stars being entertained with ethnic dances and storytelling. Dinners are enjoyed either around the log fire in the open air boma, or in the lodge dining area. Private dining and picnics can be arranged.

An earthy, traditional Tsonga styled lodge, Hoyo-Hoyo offers luxury in 6 beautifully furnished suites with views over the river and bushveld.  All rooms have large kingsize beds, with en-suite bathrooms with antique-styled baths.

Guests can also enjoy a number of spa treatments ranging from foot massages to facials, all with a local Shangaan theme.

Start TestimonialThe accommodation is typical African architecture and how it is situated without a fence around gives you the feeling you are alone in the bush with the animals. Most of the game drives are a success, since the 3 lodges, which belong to the same operator are communicating by radio. If one of the 3 rangers see a wild cat, they will inform the other two. Start TestimonialJust returned from South Africa, and we did love it!  Cape Town was beautiful and we saw lots of wonderful things.  As for Hoyo-Hoyo, we really think you made a GREAT recommendation there.  Cool atmosphere, great food, wonderful rooms.  All splendid. Thank you for your great suggestions, for helping us get a smooth and marvellous vacation, and for your patience with me earlier in the year!End Testimonial
