Lalibela is a conservation project that currently consists of 10,500 hectares and is home to the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) as well as other predators like cheetah, hyena, jackal and lynx. Plains game also include zebra, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbuck and eland.

Game viewing is carried out during the morning and evening when you are guided by your game ranger in an open game viewing vehicle. If you have a particular interest, please mention it to your ranger; who will be happy to merge your plans with those of the group.

The game drives will take between three and four hours, with a sundowner stop at sunset and a coffee stop in the morning. The evening game drives usually return to the lodge after dark. Optional late-night game drives by arrangement with the lodge at an additional cost.

Guests have the option of booking a Big 5 Walking safari during their stay at Lalibela. This will take place on the main reserve where guests may encounter Big 5 animals on their walk. Walks are led by qualified rangers.

Inzolo Lodge is the perfect blend of privacy and luxury. The main lodge is designed to make the most of the surrounding views with the lounge and dining areas seamlessly transitioning into the surrounding landscape.

A large terrace provides a fantastic viewing deck and extends into a wonderful outdoor dining area. Framed by a sea of indigenous flora and exposed rock formations, the pool offers the perfect place to enjoy the sun.

Four spacious and intimate chalets are nestled in the valley providing panoramic views over the bush. The chalets, each sleeping two people, are designed with comfort and luxury in mind.

General Information For Guests

All suites have air conditioning, a safe, hair dryer, mini bar, en-suite bathroom with his and hers basins, inside shower and outside bath, tea/coffee making facilities and a private viewing deck.

The main lodge area has views of an active waterhole, a large terrace and viewing deck, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a lounge, bar, and a swimming pool.

A laundry service is available (additional cost).

There is complimentary Wi-Fi in the main lodge as well as the suites.

Guests can book a Big 5 walking safari during their stay at Lalibela. This will take place on the main reserve where guests may encounter Big 5 animals on their walk. Walks are led by a qualified ranger. The age range for a Big 5 walk is between 16 and 65.

There is also the option to go on a 'soft' walking safari in the predator-free breeding area of the reserve, which is open to all ages. This breeding area offers a more relaxed on foot safari experience for the whole family where you can get up close and personal with game such as zebra, giraffe, warthog and various antelope in a safe environment.

The walks are weather dependent therefore you are required to book during your stay - the walks are an additional cost and guests to settle this cost direct with the lodge.
