General Information For Guests
All the suites are raised on recycled railway sleeper decking and offer guests amazing views of the surrounding floodplain and wildlife. Each suite has a private outdoor plunge pool, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, mosquito netting, environmentally friendly air-conditioning unit over the bed, a fan, room safe, yoga mat and light weights, indoor and outdoor showers, and a bath.
The 2 Bedroom Duba Plains Suite also has a private pool.
Wi-Fi is available in all guest suites. There is no mobile phone coverage however.
Main guest areas include a media centre, wine cellar, interactive kitchen, dining area, lounge and library, and a large deck leading to a raised deck with additional dining space and fire pit with seating. There is also a safari boutique. In-room massages are available at an additional cost.
The camp is solar powered with generator back up.
Every day is different on safari. Safari drives often start at sunrise, returning to camp for a late breakfast nd
departing again mid-afternoon after tea before returning just after sunset. However, guests can often spend
the entire day out in the bush with a packed breakfast, lunch, and beverages if they wish. Safaris will often continue into the night in search of nocturnal species. The safari schedule is flexible, and guests are encouraged to create their own itinerary according to their interests with guidance and recommendations from the professional guides.
The Toyota Land Cruiser game viewing vehicles are uniquely designed to traverse the floodplains. 4 guests are accommodated per safari vehicle, however, if a family or group travels together, the vehicles can easily accommodate up to 6 guests. The vehicles also have fridges stocked with drinks and snacks, ready for longer days out if required.
The flat-bottomed, aluminium boat at Duba Plains allows guests to explore the papyrus flanked channels of the Okavango Delta.
A rod/reel kit is available for those who want to try their cast in the Delta between March and December on a catch and release basis - water level dependent.
Guided walks can be arranged with experienced guides.
The camp is a 5 minute drive from the airstrip.
Young children must be supervised as the camp is open with high predator densities in and around camp
and there is water surrounding camp. The camp also features raised decks and pools which are not
covered.
The camp accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards (but not AMEX or Diners Club).
