Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa stands proudly above the northern Mauritius coastline on a peninsula, offering commanding views over the sparkling Indian Ocean and a string of secluded creeks. Bearing testimony to the island's historical past are ruins of a lighthouse and fortress which blend seamlessly into the lush tropical gardens dotted with cascading swimming pools.
One of the most popular resorts in Mauritius, Canonnier's waters are ideal for an array of water sports. Located at the edge of the beach, the boathouse offers kayaking, snorkelling, pedal boats and glass bottom boat trips for those looking for more relaxing activities, or the more adventurous can try water skiing, wind surfing, sailing and stand up paddles. Back on the land, tennis, volley ball, archery and mountain biking are just some of the activities that guests can choose to make the most of the outdoors. Many of the land and water sports are free for guests - including water skiing. Superb golf facilities are also available at the Mont Choisy golf course.
The wellness centre definitely takes the exotic spa experience to new heights. Designed as a small tree house village built amidst branches of an ancient Banyan tree, the hotel's massage centre is truly unique in Mauritius and provides an authentic tropical hideaway from the stress of daily life.
The stylish accommodation options are Standard, Superior Sea-Facing or Garden-Facing Rooms. There are also family units available, suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. All rooms have air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Blending perfectly with their tropical surroundings, all rooms benefit from soothing neutral colours and natural woods creating an ambiance of casual elegance. Delicate shutters and curtains gently filter in natural light. Equipped with large framed mirrors that add a sense of space, the bathrooms are modern with a tropical slant.
The 3 restaurants and 2 bars capture the hotel's unique atmosphere infused with both authentic charm and colonial influences.
