Day 1

Once you have cleared Customs & Immigration at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and collected your luggage, you need to make your way to the Arrivals Hall, where you will be met by your driver who will be holding a sign board with your name on it. You will then be driven in your private 6 seater minivan with a pop up roof for easy game viewing and photography to the Amboseli National Park (approx 250 km / 4 hours), arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a guided walk with a Masai warrior.

Amboseli National Park

2 nights at Amboseli Sentrim Camp

Day 2

After breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive in the Park. The Amboseli National Park is most famous for its elephant population, where herds of up to 100 can be seen on game drives, along with buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, impala and warthog. Not surprisingly, never far away from these herds of grazers are lion, leopard, cheetah, jackal, hyena and serval cat. The birdlife is also extremely good, with over 400 bird species recorded, including over 40 birds of prey.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will depart for the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (approx 430 km / 6-7 hours). The Lake Nakuru National Park was created in 1968 to protect the huge flocks of greater and lesser flamingos that breed and nest at the edge of Lake Nakuru, and which give the lake it's characteristic pink rim. It is also one of the few places to see the endangered black rhino alongside the white rhino. Other wildlife that can be spotted includes Rothschild's giraffe, Cape buffalo, waterbuck, lion, leopard, zebra, gazelle, impala, eland and the hyrax. The Park also has extremely large pythons, who mainly inhabit the dense woodlands, but can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees. You will enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive in the Park, before driving onto your lodge at Lake Elementaita, arriving in time for dinner.

Day 4

Depart after breakfast for the drive down to the Masai Mara Reserve (approx 350 km / 5-6 hours), arriving in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game walk with a Masai warrior.

Day 5

Depart after breakfast with a picnic lunch for a full day game viewing in the Reserve. Big cats, elephants, giraffe, wild dog, buffalo, rhino, hyena, wildebeest, gazelles and impala are just a few of the many animal species that can be spotted whilst out, and more than 1,000 species of birds have also been recorded. On the way back to the camp in the afternoon, you will visit a Masai village.

Day 6

After breakfast at the camp, you will depart for the 6 hour drive (approx 320 km) back to Nairobi.

Day 7
You will be collected and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta Airport, arriving in time to check in for your flight home.
