During this week-long trip, you'll stay adjacent to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfont for 4 nights, giving you ample time to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town, followed by a 3 night safari in the Big 5 Klaserie Game Reserve, where you will sleep in a tree house at eye-level with the trees, offering a different perspective across the African bushveld from your private balcony.
Southern Sun The Cullinan offers grand hotel accommodation in the heart of Cape Town and just moments from the V&A Waterfront. The colonial architecture of the building is reflected throughout the hotel, with high ceilings, a balconied mezzanine level and soaring columns around the large outdoor heated pool area.
Then you will experience a Kruger safari at nThambo Tree Camp and stay in a unique stilted wooded chalet in the heart of the Southern Klaserie Game Reserve. Klaserie is part of the Greater Kruger and shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park. Take part in thrilling Big 5 game drive safaris where you can get within feet of the wildlife and spend evenings in the open air boma, sharing stories of the bush with other guests.

Southern Sun The Cullinan is situated just on the edge of the vibrant V&A Waterfront.
Arrive into Cape Town Airport. Go through Immigration, collect your luggage and clear Customs, then make your way into the Arrivals Hall where your driver will be waiting for you, holding a sign board with your name on it. You will then be transferred to the vibrant V&A Waterfront area.
You will be collected and transferred back to the airport where you will check in for your flight to Kruger's Hoedspruit Airport.
Airlink 4Z657 (Economy Class): Fly from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) departing at 10:15 to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (HDS), arriving at 12:45
You will be met outside the airport building and transferred to nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Game Reserve.
At nThambo, every day begins and ends with a game drive through this vibrant part of the Southern Klaserie Game Reserve. Back at camp, you can enjoy the open views onto an active waterhole and watch all the animals that come here to drink. Leopard and lion, Africa's biggest cats, prowl the bushveld and their calls can be heard in the night when you are falling asleep. Other wildlife you may encounter on game drives include elephant, rhino, buffalo, impala, kudu, zebra, giraffe, steenbok, duiker, mongoose, baboon, vervet monkey, hippo and warthog.
Klaserie Game Reserve
After you return from your morning game drive, you will have time to enjoy breakfast before you are collected and transferred back to the airport where you will check in for your flight to Johannesburg.
