Begin your trip nestled at the base of Table Mountain in one of Cape Town's most friendliest guest houses, then head to the Timbavati Game Reserve for some exciting Big 5 game drives, staying in an authentic tented camp in a natural wilderness environment.

Floreal House is a 4* guest house, in the exclusive suburb of Cape Town's Oranjezicht. The warm welcome will make you feel at home immediately. During your stay here, enjoy the major attractions in the city (Table Mountain, Robben Island, township tour, Camps Bay, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Gardens, numerous museums and galleries) and take a day trip down to the Cape Peninsula, stopping on the way back at Boulders Beach, which is home to one of only 2 mainland nesting colonies of African penguins in South Africa.

Then you head off to the Kruger Park for your safari adventure. Shindzela Tented Safari Camp is situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. It is a simple, comfortable and affordable South African bush camp, offering a host of wildlife activities including game drives and walking safaris trails. Each tent has its own deck/porch where you can sit and relax. The camp has an informal, relaxed atmosphere, and is alive with warm African hospitality.

At the end of your safari, you will return to Johannesburg Airport by road, giving your opportunity to see more of South Africa before you depart.

Day 1
Upon arrival into Cape Town Airport, collect your luggage and enter the Arrivals Hall.

Make your way to the Bidvest Car Rental office. Complete the necessary paperwork - you will need to present your driving licence, passport and credit card. The keys to your hire car will then be handed over to you.

4 Day Car Rental: Group B: Hyundai Grand 1.0i or similar - Manual Transmission (on Super Cover)

Drive into Cape Town to Floreal House, situated in the exclusive surburb of Oranjezicht and nestled at the foot of Table Mountain. Cape Town is one of the world's most beautiful cities - with a magnificent mountain as its centre, miles of sandy beaches, a colourful and moving history, and countless bars and restaurants, Cape Town captures the hearts of visitors. During your stay here, enjoy the major attractions in the city (Table Mountain, Robben Island, township tour, Camps Bay, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Gardens, numerous museums and galleries) and if time permits, take a day trip down to the Cape Peninsula, stopping on the way back at Boulders Beach, which is home to one of only 2 mainland nesting colonies of African penguins in South Africa.


Day 5

Drive back to Cape Town Airport, return your hire car at the Car Rental Returns, and check in for your flight to the Kruger National Park. Passengers are advised to check in at least 90 minutes prior to the flight departure time.

Once you have collected your luggage, you will be met and transferred to the Big 5 Timbavati Game Reserve.

At Shindzela Tented Camp, enjoy daily game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, with a knowledgeable ranger and expert tracker and fellow guests. The area is home to over 40 mammal species, including Africa's Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). Other game that you may see whilst on your safari include hyena, jackal, giraffe, hippo, wild dog, zebra, kudu and impala, to mention just a few. There are over 350 bird species recorded in the reserve.


Day 8

After you return from your morning game drive, you will have time to enjoy breakfast before you are collected and transferred back to Hoedspruit Airport, arriving in time to meet the Ashton Shuttle Service for the journey back to Johannesburg Airport.

The service departs Hoedspruit at 11:00, and arrives back at Johannesburg Airport between 17:00-18:00 in the evening. The vehicle is a 10-14 seater Toyota Quantum with air-conditioning, individual seat belts, bottled water, cup holders, magazine nets, satellite tracking and a large luggage trailer.

You will be dropped at the International Departure Terminal at Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport, where you will then check in for your flight home.
