Or relax by the pool on one of the many sunloungers, and enjoy the warmth of the African sun.

In the evening, enjoy a delectable meal in the Saxon’s fine dining restaurant, Qunu, which offers a modern African table where local and international flavours meet to inspire unique, vibrant and entertaining culinary experience. Many of the ingredients used in the dishes are organically grown in their own herb and vegetable garden, Sarapana.

The 20 Luxury Suites all have large picture bay windows that look out over the rolling gardens or pool area, with latticed shutters ensuring quiet privacy.

There are also 3 stand-alone Villas, reached by a skywalk from the main hotel, and comprising of several individual suites. Each suite has a private deck leading out into the lush gardens and each suite can be interconnecting if required.

The Presidential Suite includes in-suite seating and dining area, entrance hall, guest bathroom, separate lounge, dining room, fully equipped butler’s kitchen and butler service.

The Nelson Mandela Platinum Suite offers the best views of the property, overlooking the pool terrace, infinity pool and beyond the gardens and treetops towards the Johannesburg skyline. You enter this magnificent suite via a glass-enclosed elevator for a bespoke experience of unrivalled luxury.

Directions For Drivers

From Johanneburg International Airport: As you leave Johannesburg International airport, keep on the far right hand side of the main exit carriageway. Follow the overhead sign marked R24 - Johannesburg. You will merge with the N12 highway, travelling west.

Approaching the N12/N3 interchange, follow the overhead sign marked N3 (N1) Pretoria. DO NOT TAKE THE SIGN MARKED JOHANNESBURG 5. You will now be traveling north along the N3 highway.

Take the first offramp marked Linksfield Road. Turn right at the traffic lights into Linksfield Road. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn right into Club Road. At the 1st set of traffic lights, cross over George Road. Follow Club Road where the name will change to Swemmer Road, then Avon Road, then Northfield then Athol, then Woodyatt, then Pretoria and finally Glenhove.

Glenhove Road will cross over the M1 highway. After crossing the highway, you will pass one set of traffic lights. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn right into Oxford Road. Travelling along Oxford Road you will pass through the suburb of Rosebank. Oxford Road will become Rivonia Road as you approach the Sandton area. Keep on the left hand side of Rivonia Road.

At the main intersection of Rivonia Road and Sandton Drive, you will see a large electronic signboard and the Sandton City Shopping Mall. Turn left at the traffic lights, into Sandton Drive.

Keep on the left hand side of Sandton Drive. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn left into Comartie Drive. At the T-junction turn right into Saxon Road. The Saxon is clearly marked on the left hand side of Saxon Road.

General Information For Guests

All suites offer in suite check-in, complimentary full mini bar and snacks, high speed Wi-Fi, in suite entertainment, use of Spa hydro facilities, 24 hour butler service, a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, newspaper daily, parking, bottled mineral water, fresh flowers, access to fitness centre.

The Villa Luxury Suites have a private deck leading out into the gardens. Each Villa Luxury Suite can be interconnected with an adjacent Villa Luxury Suite. The luxuriously appointed separate bathroom has a freestanding bath, dual sinks and a walk-in stone clad shower. There is a dedicated 24-hour butler service.

The Villa Presidential Suite has its own entrance hall, guest bathroom, dining room and lounge opening onto a balcony.  The generous separate bathroom has a freestanding bath and walk-in shower. There is also a fully equipped butler’s kitchen and dedicated butler service. Latticed shutters ensure privacy and open onto views over the gardens and northern views of the Johannesburg city skyline.

The Nelson Mandela Platinum Suite features an entrance, guest bathroom, guest suite, separate lounge, dining room and business area with business desk and iPod docking station. The master bedroom has a kingsize 4-poster bed, separate bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, walk-in shower and steam room. There is a fully equipped butler’s kitchen and 24-hour butler service. The suite offers views of the gardens and pool terrace.

The stand-alone Saxon Luxury Villas have a main lounge and dining room in addition to a breakfast area and bar, with dedicated 24-hour butler service and chef. The Villa guests can enjoy the privacy of the terrace and plunge pool overlooking the gardens, or alternatively make use of the main Hotel facilities. A private elevator leads from the parking area to each of the Villas.
