Paraa Safari Lodge

Murchison Falls

Paraa Safari Lodge Location Map

Paraa Safari Lodge is situated in Murchison Falls National Park,  overlooking one of nature's best kept secrets, the River Nile, on its journey from its source at Lake Victoria to join Lake Albert - here it is suddenly channelled into a narrow gorge and cascades 45 meters down. The earth literally trembles here at one of the world's most powerful flows of natural water.

The river attracts a whole host of different wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos and water birds. Other animals include lion, warthogs, buffalo, rare aquatic sitatunga antelope, giant forest hog, Uganda kob, topi, waterbuck, elephant and leopard, and over 450 bird species.

The safari decor of the lodge reflects the bygone era of early explorers, enshrined with a modern touch.

The Captain’s Table restaurant is located on the upper floor of the lodge. You can choose to eat inside or outside on the balcony (which boasts a sweeping view of the River Nile). Special barbecues and traditional dancers make a Saturday evening at Paraa Safari Lodge an occasion to remember.

There is also a swimming pool and a poolside bar, which is also a popular sundowner spot.

Each of the 54 rooms are a haven of style and serenity, complete with balcony and private bathroom.

Guests can choose from Standard Rooms, Suites, Safari Tents and there is also a two bedroom Cottage which is ideal for families.
