The Ngorongoro Farm House is a friendly lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano. It is situated on a 500 acre coffee farm located only 4 km from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you arrive at the lodge, you are greeted with large, open grassy lawns which stretch across to the main areas. It's location means it is an ideal base to explore both Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater from, as well as Lake Eyasi on the Rift Valley, which is still inhabited by the Hadzabe tribe if you are looking for a cultural experience.
Take a walk around the farm to see the daily activities going on, relax in the fragrant gardens or enjoy the spectacular sunsets with the Oldeani Volcano as a backcloth.
The huge main building, covered with a thatched roof, contains the reception, bar, dining area, library and lounge with a fireplace where guests can enjoy a rest during the cool evenings in the highlands. The main guest areas also include a swimming pool as well as a craft shop. Guests have a variety of food to choose from prepared with vegetables produced in the farm’s gardens. Organic coffee, a selection of teas and homemade cake are available at all hours in the main building.
The 49 spacious semi-detached chalets and 3 suites each have a small sitting area, with a pair of comfortable armchairs. Each chalet also has a balcony with views out over the farm. Although the balcony is shared with the next-door chalet, a small red mud wall acts as a partial division for added privacy. The suites feature a private verandah, also with views.
