Klaserie Sands River Camp Location Map

Nestled on the banks of the Ntsiri River between towering Jackalberry and Leadwood trees is Klaserie Sands River Camp. Privately owned, the passionate-about-wildlife management team strive to ensure that every guest departs from this special piece of Africa with treasured memories that last a lifetime.

The daily game drives at Klaserie Sands are done with a qualified and experienced ranger and tracker team. They are scheduled for early mornings/later afternoons and include refreshments and snacks. Elephants, rhino, lion, buffalo, hyaena, wild dogs, leopard, impala, kudu, giraffe and zebra are just a few of the wonderful wildlife waiting to be seen on a game drive.

Guided bush walks are also offered, presenting a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a more intimate experience with nature, learning about the tracks, sights and sounds of the fauna and flora.

The main camp has an expansive deck shaded by trees, providing some much needed respite from the African sun. This is definitely the main attraction of the camp, and offers the best views of the waterhole. In addition. the camp boasts both indoor and outdoor dining areas, an open fire seating area, indoor fire place, lounge and central bar, a rim flow pool and a sun deck.

The camp consists of 2 standard guest suites, a family suite with 2 interleading rooms and a honeymoon suite. The suites all have a private deck, either overlooking the Ntsiri River or the rim flow swimming pool and waterhole.

For the more adventurous and romantic, book a night under the African skies at the Founder's Post Star Bed. As an added extra, guests will treated to a private dinner including a selection of fine wines as well as an evening and a morning private safari.

As such, the rate for guests visiting the reserve now includes a Bed Levy, which goes towards ensuring that the reserve remains in pristine condition and helps to ensure the reduction of the camps carbon footprint, as well as a Conservation Levy which is used to subsidise anti-poaching efforts, further develop smart fences, pay additional teams, contribute to the cost of all counter poaching flights, and purchase new equipment to ensure the continual protection of vulnerable species with the reserve.
