Fitzpatricks at Jock Location Map

Fitzpatricks at Jock, overlooking the banks of the Biyamiti River, is situated one kilometer from the Jock Safari Main Camp and offers sweeping views over the unspoiled Kruger Park Bushveld.

Game drives in open Land Rovers, with a professional team of game rangers, offer guests the thrill of close encounters with Africa's Big 5. Some of the drives will be on the lodge's own concession, but others may be in the Kruger Park itself, where your ranger will be restricted to remaining on the road network at all times.

Whilst not on game drives you can relax next to the scenic pool soaking up the sun watching the wild animals frequent the surrounding bush.

Fitzpatricks at Jock can either be booked as a private safari camp for a small group or family, or for individuals.

With only 3 suites this lodge ensures personal service remains a high priority.

Guests at Fitzpatricks at Jock are encouraged to spoil themselves by making use of the extensive Spa treatments available at the Jock Safari Main Camp, a mere 5 minutes away.

The luxurious suites offer all the comforts and amenities one can expect from a 5* private lodge.

Guests can relax in the comfort of the central lounge designed with large bay windows and enjoy both al fresco and indoor dining facilities, while your chef conjures up traditional dishes inspired by the natural surrounds.

Start TestimonialWe had a wonderful time at Fitzpatricks at Jock. We loved the suite and the bath!! The service was personalized and fantastic. We were lucky to see the big 5 on the first day itself. Naomi and Ranger Pete did an outstanding job as hosts. Pete has this amazing ability to spot rare animals in the bush which we may not have spotted. Additionally, he has very good knowledge about the animals. End of winters, the riverbed behind the lodge is typically dry but this actually allowed us to see a herd of 20-25 elephants in our backyard one morning. On the 3rd day, we even spotted 2 lionesses and their 6 cubs enjoying a long drink after feasting on a wild buffalo further up on the riverbed. As for the food, we enjoyed it immensely. Specially, the freshly baked stuff hot from the oven. Amarula with hot chocolate was perfect thing to drink after the morning game drives. We would definitely want to stay at the Fitzpatricks if we get the chance again. Thank you Anneli and Travel Butlers team for organizing this amazing deal! Must say the website is very well organized. I was easily able to review all the deals and special offers without much effort.End Testimonial

Directions For Drivers

If you are entering the Park for the first time, the best gate to enter through is the Orpen Gate. If you are driving to the camp from within the Park, please use the 'South African National Parks Visitors Guide to the Kruger National Park' which contains detailed road maps.

From Johannesburg: Take the N12 to Witbank/eMalahleni. This becomes the N4. Follow the N4 through Nelspruit and Malelane until you see the Malelane Gate Kruger Park sign, where you turn left. There is a Kruger National Park Private Concession gate entry fee payable in cash at the entrance gate - this is currently R110 per person per stay - subject to change. When in the Park, follow the Malelane Gate/Skukuza road. The camp is signposted off this road.

Do not get out of your car until you reach the lodge. You may see some wildlife on your way - if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive off-road in any circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE: The Kruger National Park prohibits the use of roads within the Park before the gates are open and once the gates are closed, therefore guests need to plan their arrival and departure times carefully. You cannot arrange to leave the Park before the gates are open, and you must ensure that you arrive at the entrance gate with sufficient time to drive through the Park to reach your destination by the time the gate closes, otherwise you may not be permitted to enter.
