Etosha National Park

Etosha Village Location Map

Etosha Village is only 2 km from the Andersson Entrance Gate of the Etosha National Park, and combines affordability with comfort and style.

Etosha Village is equipped with 2 open-view game viewing vehicles that take a maximum of 10 passengers per vehicle. The experienced guides driving these vehicles have extensive knowledge of the area and animals and give a running commentary as the trips proceed. Guests can choose to go on a guided morning or afternoon drive or a full day excursion to Etosha National Park (all at an additional cost) or of course just self-drive themeselves into the Park for the day.

The Etosha National Park offers truly amazing game viewing. Zebra and springbok are scattered across the endless horizon, while the many waterholes attract endangered black rhinos, lion, elephant and large numbers of antelope. The Park rings the huge white Etosha Salt Pan that covers 20% of the entire Park - and is the stomping ground to a breathtaking amount of animal life as well.

When you return from your day in the Park, if you are not too tired you can choose to go out on a relaxing sundowner drive. Departing from Etosha Village in the late afternoon, experience breath-taking views of the Mopane forests with occasional photo stops while your knowledgeable guide explain the fauna and flora. Then go higher up to the mountains to watch a spectacular sunset while enjoying a drink and snacks.

Sunrise nature walk takes place along a beautiful footpath winding through the lush Mopane forest. The guide will focus on tracks, indigenous tree species and local wildlife, and you will also spend some time at a hide where nature will completely surround you.

Uniquely positioned amid the indigenous Mopane forest, the accommodation units at Etosha Village ensure maximum privacy and tranquillity. The 45 individual units offer a spacious air-conditioned bedroom and a modern en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and wash basin with vanity space. The patio and outside seating area create an ideal space to sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

These trips last for approximately 6 hours and follow a route through the Andersson Gate to Okaukuejo and further on to various waterholes in a circular route back to Okaukuejo.
