Zambezi Region
Chobe Savanna Lodge is located on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River in Namibia. The lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park and is located approximately 90 kilometres due west of Victoria Falls.
The area is home to a wide variety of African wildlife, including the rare puku antelope. Large herds of hippo, buffalo and elephant come down to the Chobe River edge to drink and graze.
The emphasis at Chobe Savanna Lodge is on relaxation. Activities are leisurely, and guests are not rushed anywhere at all. The game viewing from the main deck areas is superb enough, or you can go out on a private motor boat for water based game viewing.
The lodge also offers boat excursions to a nearby traditional village, where you can witness tribal African life. Fishing is also a popular past-time.
The lodge accommodates just 26 guests in stylish thatched chalets, each with private deck, a combined bedroom/lounge area and en-suite bathrooms. All rooms are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme.
The main lodge area has an open-air swimming pool with a beautiful sun deck and a boma area on the banks of the Chobe River, where guests are treated to panoramic views and traditional dancing performed by the local villagers.
