Nestled between the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains and unspoiled beaches of the Indian Ocean, the 6,000 hectare malaria-free Botlierskop Private Game Reserve is situated on the world renowned and malaria-free Garden Route - located just off the N2 and an easy 30 minutes drive from George Airport or a 4.5 hour scenic drive from Cape Town. Experience close encounters with an abundance of wildlife, including four of the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as giraffe, hippo, zebra, the rare black impala, and a plethora of birdlife on an exhilarating 3 hour guided sunrise or sundowner game drive, or a private game viewing drive. Alternatively, saddle up for a horseback safari and explore the majestic mountain valleys and vibrant fynbos on a 2 hour ride. More experienced riders can embark on a longer 3.5 hour trail through dense bush and mountainous terrain.

Children Policy
Children aged 6 years and older are welcome. Children of all ages are welcome at The Village Lodge and can join in game drives.
Children can join the Kids Club, situated at Botlierskop Village Lodge, and enjoy a daily programme that includes activities such as frog (tadpole) fishing, paper boats in the canal, gardening, clay play, and more. The Kids Club is inclusive for Village Lodge guests on a full board package, while children on other Village Lodge packages can also join for an additional fee.
The Junior Ranger programme is offered at all three of our lodges, giving children the chance to experience guided wildlife adventures on safari. A Botlierskop Guide will take children on a 1-hour walk to identify animal footprints, fauna, and flora, and a certificate is awarded upon completion. This programme is suitable for children aged 6–12 years.

Directions For Drivers
From the N2/Cape Town: Go past Mossel Bay. Take the Klein Brakrivier/Little Brak River exit (exit 401). Turn left at the stop sign. After about 500m you will reach a T-Junction. Follow the brown Botlierskoop signboard with the lion footprint from this point. Turn right and after approximately 4 km, you will go over a low bridge. 200m after the bridge, turn right (still following the brown Botlierskoop signboard) onto the Gonnakraal Road. After 4 km, you will see an earth dam on the right. Turn right after this at the Botlierskop Gate.
