The Namib Naukluft Lodge and the separate Soft Adventure Camp are located on a 25,000 hectare private nature reserve which stretches from the Namib Desert to the Naukluft Mountains, bordering onto the Namib Naukluft Park on both sides.  This unique and peaceful place offers a great desert experience for the relaxed holidaymaker and the enthusiastic desert explorer.

The nature reserve hosts a variety of game like the oryx antelope, kudu, springbok, mountain zebra, ostrich and baboon.  During the evenings, the bat-eared fox and the aardwolf are common visitors, or sometimes a spotted or brown hyena may be seen. On some occasions, predators like African wildcat, leopard and cheetah have been spotted walking freely over the vast plains. 

The main lodge has a comfortable lounge exhibiting local decor items as well as original paintings, prints and hand-woven carpets from local artists.  Traditional meals are served on the veranda or prepared by the chef on the open fire in the lapa, enhancing the feeling of a very special desert evening. The bar, and in winter, the fireplace offer a cozy round-up of a great and adventurous day.  During the heat of the day after taking part in one of the excursions the best spot to linger is at the crystal clear swimming pool.

The lodge offers en-suite, stylishly furnished rooms with inside and outdoor seating, air-conditioning, private veranda, refrigerator and direct dial telephone.

The rustic Soft Adventure Camp is designed for the nature loving visitor, and is located on open plains with granite hills as a backdrop. It has a beautiful view onto the plains with a nearby borehole, where springbock and oryx often come to drink. Each of the 15 spacious en-suite chalets have their own private verandah in order to enjoy the beautiful sunsets of the Namib Desert.
