Close to the Talek and Mara rivers, Rekero lies in the heart of one of the most game-rich areas the reserve has to offer, with a remarkable abundance and variety of year-round wildlife and spectacular scenery. Hippos grunt in the pools below, the smell of wild sage drifts through the air and herds of wildebeest often can be seen crossing the Talek River from the main deck. This blissful location means that fantastic game viewing can continue, even when relaxing in camp.

This traditional East African camp evokes the romance of safaris from a bygone era. Rekero’s 9 spacious tents are laid out along the river’s edge under a network of shady trees. Designed in classic safari style with a fresh, contemporary edge, each tent has an en-suite bathroom with hot-water safari bucket shower and flushing toilet.

Each tent also has a large private veranda with an inviting day bed or couch where you can take in a view of the river.

There are also 2 Family Tents, each with a kingsize bed and 3 single beds, making this an ideal camp for families as well. Families have a personal game-viewing vehicle and a highly-skilled guide complete with amazing bush-wise facts, anecdotes and stories that will keep the kids entertained for hours.
