Enjoying a safari game drive across wide open plains without any other vehicle in sight is what many visitors are dreaming of when they book their trip to Kenya. This 3 night adventure will certainly give you just that.
The private Ol Kinyei Conservancy is an exclusive wildlife reserve in the Masai Mara eco-system, and is renowned for its unspoilt and breathtaking scenery with diverse terrain offering open savannah plains and rolling hills. Only the vehicles belonging to the camps are allowed to drive here, and with no boundaries between the conservancy and the Masai Mara National Reserve, the game is free to move unhindered between the areas. So all you will see is wildlife, not tourists.
Game drives head out every morning and afternoon to explore the conservancy in the camp's 4WD customised safari vehicles taking a maximum of just 6 passengers. Your driver-guide is a wildlife expert and certified by the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association.
Wildlife encountered may include prides of lion, or solitary leopards patrolling their territories. Cheetahs are frequently seen and it is not rare to come across large numbers of giraffe as well as Cape buffalo and elephants. The area is ideal to witness the Great Migration if you can travel between July and October, and there is also a secondary, lesser know, wildebeest migration that migrates from Kenya's Loita Plains into the conservancy during the months of January, February and March.
As well as game drives, the daily programme also includes night drives, sundowners and escorted nature walks, as well as a full day game drive in the Mara Reserve itself with a picnic lunch.
The 2 person dome tents at the camp allows safari goers with a sense of adventure to experience the magic of the Mara for a fraction of the cost of the more luxurious lodges nearby.

Arrive into Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
After you have had your passports stamped by the Immigrations Officer, proceed to the Baggage Hall to collect your luggage and then go through Customs and exit the building onto the street outside, where our representative will be waiting to meet you, holding a signboard displaying your name. He will introduce you to your driver and you will then be transferred to Wilson Airport.
At Wilson Airport you will board the morning flight to the Naboisho/Ol Seki Airstrip.
Safarilink 01 (Light Aircraft): Fly from Nairobi Wilson (WIL) departing at 10:00 to Naboisho/Ol Seki Airstrip, arriving at 11:00
Upon arrival at the airstrip in the Mara you will be transferred to the Gamewatchers Mobile Camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, an exclusive 18,700 acre wilderness set aside as a wildlife sanctuary with a wide variety of species including big cats. The area has open plains, forests, rivers and stunning views. Daily game drives (shared) are in 4x4 safari vehicles with expert safari guides and you will experience the wilderness without the presence of other tourist vehicles.
After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will board your flight back to Nairobi.
Safarilink 02 (Light Aircraft): Fly from Naboisho/Ol Seki Airstrip departing at 11:00 to Wilson Airport (WIL), arriving at 12:15
You will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta Airport where you will check in for your onward flight. There is the option to extend this trip with a beach stay - rates/suggestions on request.
