For 5 nights, immerse yourself into a truly 'off the beaten track' African experience. First, you'll stay in an authentic tented camp secretly located within the heart of the Chobe National Park and away from the crowds at the Chobe Riverfront. You then fly to the deep into the Okavango to stay at a small intimate camp with spectacular views over the floodplain.
Your first flight takes you from Maun to the Savuti Airstrip, where you will be met and driven the last 20-40 minute journey to Camp Savuti. This road transfer could be considered more of a game drive, as it traverses through the Chobe National Park and there is a likely chance of spotting any number of animals before even arriving at camp. Experience the thrill of getting close to top predators and to watch them in their natural habitat from the comfort of an open-air 4x4 vehicle, guided by knowledgable rangers. The area is also renowned for its large population of bull elephants.
You then fly to Oddballs’ Enclave, situated on the edge of Chief's Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Catering for the active traveller and undoubtedly representing great value for money, activities here pay homage to a time when safaris were a real adventure. Activities are conducted by your own professional guide (a maximum of two guests per guide). The activities usually start by mokoro (water level dependant), after which you will walk on some of the larger islands in the area. Walking is an integral and significant part of the experience at any time of year - it is often said that the very best way to experience the wonders of the African bush is on foot.
Arrive into Maun Airport. Go through Immigration, collect your luggage and clear Customs, then make your way into the Arrivals Hall where you will be met and assisted with the check in for your onward flight to your first safari camp.
