Kubu Lodge

Chobe National Park

Days 1 - 2: Chobe National Park

Kubu Lodge Location Map

On the doorstep of the world famous Chobe National Park, just outside the centre of Kasane, and only an hour away from the mighty Victoria Falls, Kubu Lodge is an ideal place from which to explore this fascinating region. Set on 30 hectares of riverine forest on the banks of the Chobe River, comfortable thatched chalets on stilts overlook a shaded lawn that spreads beneath giant ebony and wild fig trees to the river's edge. Although wildlife may pass through the area, Kazungula does not offer a typical bush experience, but rather is a quieter town base with river frontage and easy access to the Chobe National Park.

The lodge can arrange game drives or boat cruises into the Chobe National Park, where guests can see a variety of big game and birdlife. The main Sedudu Gate into the Chobe National Park is a 20 minute drive away, and boat cruises depart from Kasane Town just a 10 minute drive away.

Alternatively, take a walk along the 2 km Nature Trail that meanders through some pristine indigenous riverine habitat on the Chobe.

In between activities, relax around the private and secluded swimming pool, with a view of the river.

Kubu Lodge has 11 wooden chalets, spread out under large shady trees with an expansive lawn that helps provide a cool and verdant ambience.

Dining at Kubu Lodge is a pleasant experience, as the lodge is well known for its excellent cuisine. Enjoy dinner under the stars on the restaurant deck, or the romance of the private boma for special occasions.

The fully stocked bar is also centrally located in the thatched restaurant, and commands a magnificent view over the grounds and the Chobe River.
