Safari Extravaganza

Summary Of The Route and Costs

On this holiday, you'll go on an unforgettable safari in Sabi Sands Game Reserve, tracking wild animals deep into the bush. You'll also drive the famous Garden Route and stay in a private forested reserve near the wide sandy beaches of Plettenberg Bay. After that, you'll head to the pretty village of Franschhoek, staying at a real 'home from home' boutique guest house where nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Finally, you end in Cape Town where you can wake to the sound of gentle waves breaking in the background.

Kirkman's Kamp is situated in one of the world’s largest and most prestigious private conservation areas, the Sabi Sands Game Reserve adjoining the renowned Kruger National Park. The game drive activities are led by qualified, passionate and knowledgeable guides and trackers. The leopard is the real star of the show here, with the area well known for some of the best leopard experiences in Africa. This shy and elusive animal, normally the most solitary of the African cats is often viewed both in daylight hours and during game drives.

Hard as it will be to leave here, you can rest assured that the rest of your trip will still be superb. Just 18 km east of the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route is Hog Hollow, set on the edge of indigenous forest with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma mountains. Relax at the long blue pool, soak up the sun, take a sauna, or have a massage on the treatment deck. For the more energetic there are magnificent horse trails or a forest walk to various sanctuaries across the valley.

Your next stop is Akademie Street, a luxurious home from home in Franschhoek, the heart of the South African Wine Valley. 5 individually styled suites and 3 peacefully situated cottages provide a blissful base from which to explore the landscapes, vineyards and chef’s tables of South Africa’s Culinary Capital.

Finally, you finish your trip at the Radisson Blu in Cape Town. Overlooking a private marina and the ocean, the hotel provides tranquil views and proximity to Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. When not out sampling the delights of Cape Town, relax by the rim-flow pool with a cocktail and views of the Atlantic Ocean. The perfect end to a perfect holiday.
