Then take a direct flight to Botswana, where you head into the Okavango Delta for 4 nights, staying at 2 different camps to fully maximise your safari enjoyment here.
You'll start your trip in style with a stay at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel in the heart of Cape Town's bustling V&A Waterfront. Attention to detail, elegance and an outstanding reputation have set this hotel apart as one of Cape Town's finest establishments. Each of the well-appointed contemporary rooms have either views of the Alfred Basin, Table Mountain or the piazza. Warm personal service makes guests feel at home instantly.
Then it's off to Botswana - the flight takes just 2.5 hours and by early afternoon, you will be settled at your first camp in the Okavango Delta and getting ready to go out on your first game drive this afternoon. At Kanana Camp you will experience magnificent game sightings during drives as well as the unique experience of exploring the Delta’s beautiful waterways by boat. A wide variety of game frequent the islands around Kanana Camp including impala, lechwe, leopard, lion and elephant and you may be lucky to see sitatunga whilst boating. Birds you will encounter at the heronry in season include marabou, yellow-bill and open-bill storks. The sight of thousands of nesting birds is mesmerising and an experience you will not forget.
You end your trip at Shinde, a magical hideaway in the wildlife abundant Shinde private concession, nestled within the shade of ancient gnarled trees and built in a remote and exclusive setting on the edge of the permanent waters of the northern Okavango Delta. It is surrounded by clear waterways teeming with birdlife and game. Courtesy of its location Shinde can offer both water and land activities year-round. Motorboats or mokoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found here, and game drives are conducted by a personal guide in comfortable, specially designed game drive vehicles seating no more than 4 guests per vehicle. For the more adventurous, guided walks are also available while fishing enthusiasts will enjoy fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tigerfish.

Arrive into Cape Town Airport. Collect your luggage, then make your way into the Arrivals Hall where your driver will meet you. You will then be transferred to your hotel.

You will be collected and transferred back to the airport, arriving in time to check in for your international flight to Botswana.

Arrive into Maun Airport. Go through Immigration, collect your luggage and clear Customs, then make your way into the Arrivals Hall where you will be met and assisted with your onward flight to the Okavango Delta - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to an impressive array of animals and birdlife.

You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to your safari camp. The area here is incredibly picturesque with winding waterways meandering through open lagoons. Activities at Kanana Camp include day and night game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, game viewing on mokoro excursions through waterways lined with reeds and dotted with papyrus and tree islands, guided walks, fishing, motor boating and sunset cruises.
Okavango Delta
After an early morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will board your flight to your next camp.

You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to your safari camp. Nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, activities at Shinde Camp include game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles which offer some of the finest dry land game viewing in Botswana with regular sightings of lion and leopard, exploring the water ways in mokoro (traditional dugout canoes), guided nature walks, night drives, motor boating and sunset cruises.
