Zambia's Natural Beauty and Wildlife

Summary Of The Route and Costs

Hear the roar of the thundering Victoria Falls, relax while canoeing down a channel of the Zambezi River, and take a leisurely game drive in the leopard country of South Luangwa. This 11 night holiday will show you a country rich in natural beauty and wildlife.

Experts have dubbed the South Luangwa National Park as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and not without reason - the concentration of game here is among the most intense in Africa and game viewing in the South Luangwa is considered to be some of the best in the world. It is a notably good place to see leopards, particularly in the dry season when they have less cover in which to hide.

For 5 nights you will be here as guests of Lion Camp. The camp is built on the edge of an oxbow lagoon which attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Walking safaris and game drives are expertly led by some of South Luangwa’s best guides. And for one night, you only pay the Park fees - the accommodation is free of charge!

Game viewing in and around camp is spectacular with lions, leopards, wild dogs, large herds of elephant and buffalo, the highest concentration of hippo in Africa, incredible bird viewing, and plentiful sightings of the unique Thornicroft's giraffe, Cookson's wildebeest and Crawshay's zebra. Savannas, woodlands and the meandering Luangwa River form the backdrop to this amazing part of the South Luangwa.

You then fly to the Lower Zambezi and Anabezi are your proud hosts here for 4 nights. The 12 luxury spacious tents are on raised timber platforms at the edge of a ridge providing magnificent views of both the Zambezi River and Mushika River flood plains, which both host year-round grazing and offers spectacular diverse game viewing even from the comfort of your tent! Enjoy boat cruises, canoeing, game drives and walking safaris to experience all the beauty of the bush in this incredibly scenic part of the Park. And it that is not enough, the last night is completely free on their Stay 4/Pay 3 offer - all you pay for the 4th night are your Park/Conservation fees.

Finally, end with 2 nights at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma, which is built on a dramatic bend of the Zambezi River in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, 12 km upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls. Named after Dr. David Livingstone's faithful friends Sussi and Chuma, the lodge is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Zambezi amidst jackalberry trees and phoenix palms, providing unrivalled views and exclusivity.
