Wildwaters Lodge

Situated on its own private island in the middle of the mighty Nile River and reached only by boat, Wildwaters Lodge is breathtaking. The lodge is about 25 km downstream from Jinja, the lodge is perched on granite rocks with noisy and exciting foamy rapids roaring all around.

Activities on the river for guests in the nearby adventure-hub of Jinja area include heart-pounding white-water rafting or bungee jumping and jet boating, and gentler horse riding or fishing. When you return to the lodge, enjoy a relaxing massage treatment, indulge in a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, or just soak up the views from your private deck.

Additionally, Wildwaters is a perfect platform for viewing some of the more than 1,000 bird species that Uganda is so famous for - from turacos and cuckoos to hawks and eagles - and you might also spot giant otters and monitor lizards in the water.

It is fun for the whole family, but Wildwaters Lodge also offers a relaxing and intimate stay for honeymooners and couples looking for some quiet time.

The 10 stand-alone elevated timber-floor and super-spacious luxury suites nestle in rainforest with amazing river views. There are 8 standard suites and 2 private plunge pool suites. 

Each are linked by raised wooden walkways to the main restaurant, bar and library, and feature glass-fronted windows, locally handmade furniture, stylish bathrooms with rain showers, and secluded wooden decks with daybeds and romantic free-standing open-air bathtubs.

Rates Include

All meals, boat transfer between the mainland to the island and entry fees to the Wildwaters Reserve are included.

General Information For Guests

All suites have a fan, minibar, power supply (240v via a solar system with a generator back up), hair dryer, charging statins, a safe, tea/coffee making facilities, inside shower, outside deck bath, flush toilet, pool towels, and Wi-Fi.

The Pool Suites also have a private plunge pool. 

The main lodge facilities include a bar, restaurant, spa (massages only), gift shop, swimming pool.  

Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted.  AMEX is not accepted. 

24 hour security is availabe to escort guests to and from their rooms at all times. 

The drive from Entebbe Airport is approximately 3 hours. 

Activities available at an extra cost include horse riding safaris, fishing, bungee jumping, white water rafting, cultural tours, and kayaking.
