Picnic baskets can also be arranged, consisting of a variety of delicacies to be enjoyed under the open-skies within the Walkersons estate.

The original owners created Walkersons with a Scottish country manor feel, with natural stone and wood and lots of interesting nooks and crannies.
The hotel has 27 suites in total. The Lakeside Suites are traditional in nature – boasting a thatched roof and an inviting open fireplace. The Luxury Lakeside Suites are a step-up in terms of indulgence and comfort, as well as strikingly contemporary in design. The Manor Suite has 2 bedrooms and a snug living area. The stunning Honeymoon Suite boasts a 4 poster bed, picturesque mountain views and not one, but 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi bath. Finally, the Family Suite has 2 bedrooms and a central lounge area with a fully equipped kitchen.

Directions For Drivers
From Johannesburg: From the airport take the R21 south and then the N12 east to Emalahleni (Witbank) where you join the N4 to Nelspruit. Pass Emalahleni (Witbank) and Middelburg. Approximately 80 km after Middleburg take the Belfast turn off - the sign indicates Dullstroom R33/R540 - turn left.
Go into Belfast. At the 6th stop sign turn right (there is a petrol garage on your left) in the direction of Lydenburg and Dullstroom R540. Follow this road for approximately 33 km to Dullstroom.
Drive through Dullstroom towards Lydenburg. Pass the Dullstroom Country Cottages (approximately 9 km from Dullstroom).
Turn off at the Walkersons sign approximately 12 km outside town.
Drive another 4 km down this road to the hotel.
From Lydenburg/Mashishing: Take the R540 towards Dullstroom. 10 km before you reach Dullstroom, follow the directions as above.
PLEASE NOTE : On some signposts/maps, Belfast MAY be referred to eMakhazeni; Dullstroom as Emnotweni.
General Information For Guests
Each suite has an en-suite bathroom, a hair dryer, a mini bar, a room safe, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, and satellite/cable TV.
The main guest facilities include a restaurant, TV room bar, gym, pool and spa.
There are 14 stocked dams on the Estate for both novice and experienced fly-fishermen to enjoy. Please note that river fishing requires an additional Wildlife permit and the river may be closed for fishing at certain times of the year. Please note, only fly fishing is permitted on the estate.Fly fishing equipment is available at Reception on a first come, first served basis. We recommend that dark glasses be worn against the glare of the water and sun block is applied regularly even in overcast conditions. It is extremely dangerous to fish during a thunder storm.
Dullstroom Riding Centre is situated at the stables, near the Walkersons Spa. The surefooted horses cater for all levels of riders. They offer one and 2 hour rides, depending on availability. Short pony rides are also available by prior arrangement. Bookings can be made directly with Dave on 082 442 9766.
The mountain trail is almost fully paved for your safety and convenience, covering a distance of approximately 1.8km to the top of the mountain. The views are fantastic and a number of antelope species can be seen in the area. For a more sedate stroll, take a walk along the paved walkway and maintained grass paths winding between the dams and along the river below the hotel.
