The Sun City Hotel is the original, grand dame of the Sun City resort. The very first hotel to be built at Sun City, it is located right at the heart of everything, and is central to all the activities and things to do here.
The hotel's view comprises a magnificent landscape of subtropical gardens and a sparkling swimming pool. It has a total of 340 rooms, which either face the Gary Player Golf Course or pool area, with gardens stretching down to Sun City's popular Waterworld.
A free shuttle operates every 15 minutes taking you to the Valley of Waves, the Sun Central entertainment centre and other activities within the resort. The Valley of Waves water park is Sun City's legendary hub for all kinds of water fun. Offering family-friendly water activities that appeal to adventurers of all ages, there is a designated children’s area and lifeguards on duty. The main attraction at Valley of Waves is the Roaring Lagoon - a 6,500 square metre wave pool with hydraulic mechanisms that generate waves of nearly 2 metres high every 90 seconds.
Golfers will be in their element. Designed by Gary Player, the Gary Player Golf Course is a 18-hole par 72 walking course, with a 5 km running trail along the course.
The glitzy and glamourous Sun City Casino offers a spectacle of round-the-clock thrills for both experienced and first-time gamers. The casino features hundreds of exciting slot machines and over 40 popular table games.
There are many different room categories to choose from for your stay at the Sun City Hotel, depending on your budget and requirements.
The majority of the rooms feature a fold out sleeper couch, making this ideal for families travelling with younger children. Interleading room can be requested for families travelling with teenagers.
The Luxury Suite is an ideal room type for a couple who would like extra space, as this boasts a kingsize bed and lounge area, plus a private balcony with sun loungers. For the ultimate privacy and luxury the Presidential Suite has a kingsize bed with en-suite bathroom, a separate lounge and dining area, and a private balcony with sun loungers.
