Peebles Country Retreat is an exclusive family-owned retreat, set in the heart of the lovely trout-fishing village of Dullstroom. The main building has a friendly reception area, beautifully appointed lounge, dining room, well-stocked library and bar area.

Each room is superbly appointed with soft beds, suite area, open fireplace, satellite TV, and private patio area, some overlooking the spectacular Dullstroom countryside.

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 13 are not allowed in the dining room at night - a babysitter service is available.

Directions For Drivers

From Johannesburg/Pretoria: Take the N4 East towards Nelspruit. Take the R33 to Belfast/Dullstroom.

Enter Belfast and turn right at the 2nd 4-way stop onto the R540 towards Dullstroom. After 35 km you will enter Dullstroom. Turn right just past the BP Garage at the first 4-way stop into Bosman Street (gravel road). Travel approximately 50m and you will find the entrance to Peebles on the left-hand side.

From Lydenburg/Mashishing: Take the R540 towards Dullstroom. Turn left at the 2nd 4-way stop into Bosman Street (gravel road). Travel approximately 50m and you will find the entrance to Peebles on the left-hand side.

PLEASE NOTE : On some signposts/maps, Belfast MAY be referred to eMakhazeni; Dullstroom as Emnotweni.



General Information For Guests

The main building houses the friendly reception area, beautifully appointed lounge, dining room, well-stocked library and main kitchen.

Breakfasts are served in the light and airy breakfast area, or you can indulge in a scrumptious breakfast served in the privacy of your suite from the private butler entrance. In fine weather breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the garden.

The lodge will be happy to arrange the following activities for you - picnics, trout fishing, bird watching, horse riding, clay-pigeon shooting, archery and mountain biking excursions.
