Offbeat Mara Camp

Offbeat Mara Camp

Masai Mara

Offbeat Mara Camp Location Map

Offbeat Mara is a small, traditional safari camp, situated within the Mara North Conservancy. This beautiful area enjoys exceptional year round game viewing with impressive big cat populations, and the annual wildebeest migration from July to October. There is also a nearby lion pride known as the 'Offbeat Pride', who are regularly seen not far from camp, and can be heard roaring in the distance. With regular sightings of cheetah and leopard, as well as the rest of the big and little game, there is little need to go elsewhere.

Head out in the early morning with a picnic breakfast for a game drive and keep an eye out for all there is to see. For those wanting to go out for a full day of adventure, a picnic lunch can also be carried. In addition, walking safaris are a great way to explore the conservancy, especially the more secretive areas which cannot be reached in the vehicles.

Finish the day with a refreshing drink as the sun sets over the horizon. With a fire to sit around and a fully stocked bar, it is not until the stars appear that you will pry yourself away from this spectacular view, and head back to your beautiful camp for a scrumptious meal.

As you are inside the exclusive Mara North Conservancy, guests can also head out after dinner on a night drive with filtered spot lights (so as not to disturb the nocturnal species) and see what activity is going on 'after hours'!

Offbeat Mara maintains its private homely feel by consisting of only 7 tents, including 2 family units. All the tents have en-suite bathrooms with traditional hot safari showers. The spacious interiors are all furnished with large, cedar beds, solar lighting and have fantastic views from the verandahs.

The heart of the camp is the main 'mess' tent with its bar, dining area, sitting room, fireplace and forest deck.
