Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

With its beautiful views and convenient location, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is a great accommodation option for gorilla excursions in Rwanda.

This basic yet comfortable lodge is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the main entrance to Rwanda’s Park National des Volcans. It provides a good base from which to access the Park and the guided tours to see endangered Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys.

The lodge covers 4 acres of attractive landscape on the slopes of Mount Sabyinyo and it has wonderful views of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes.

The public areas of Mountain Gorilla View Lodge include a restaurant serving home-cooked food and a small bar.

Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is comprised of 30 separate guest cottages situated within its spacious grounds. Each cottage is large and comfortable with contemporary furniture and individual artwork.

After a long day’s trekking in the Park National des Volcans, guests can unwind in their private lounge. Cosy fire places have been thoughtfully added to every cottage so that guests can warm themselves against the cool evening air at this high altitude.

There are spacious en-suite shower rooms and the private verandas allow guests to relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

General Information For Guests

All cottages are constructed of stone and thatch and have an en-suite bathroom and a fireplace in the room.

There is a main bar and restaurant and lounge areas for guests to use. There is also an outside veranda and a small outside firepit.

The lodge is about a 15 minutes drive from the Volcanoes National Park headquarters where all treks start from.
