Leopard Hill

Masai Mara

Leopard Hill Location Map

Listed as one of the world's greatest places to stay in 2019 in TIME Magazine, Leopard Hill is located right in the heart of the Mara Naboisho Conservancy and is the perfect location for you to experience the magic of a Kenyan safari. The camp is situated next to a series of watering holes where the wildlife flocks to drink, offering you a chance to observe the African wildlife from a prime spot. During the arrival of ’The Great Migration', one of the planet's greatest wildlife spectacles in Kenya, the camp is in the middle of the migration corridor and offers the perfect viewing of this amazing spectacle.

Game drives are usually conducted in the early mornings, late afternoon or at night since these are the coolest times of the day when most animals are more active. During the game drive, the knowledgeable Maasai guides will introduce you to life in the savanna and share their infinite knowledge about African wildlife. Just as you wind up your afternoon game drive, your guide will set up for a sundowner drink, and you can enjoy a selection of drinks, cocktails and delicious snacks usually served against the unforgettable backdrop of the African sunset.

In addition, walking safaris offer the chance for you to experience the wilderness on foot, and come close to nature as you walk the vast Masai Mara plains. Learn about basic survival skills from your guide, while tracking and identifying animal footprints and dung as you follow the path taken by elephants, wildebeest and lions.

Each of the 6 tents takes inspiration from Manyatas - the round houses of the local Masai people and, due to this, they offer almost 360° views over the waterholes and across the savannah. Each has its own large private terrace with an outdoor fireplace, along with both indoor and outdoor showers.

What really makes these tents so special is that they all have an adjustable motorised roof, combined with an almost invisible mosquito net, providing an unhindered view into the African night's sky, all from the comfort of your own bed.

The main camp area has a spacious lounge tent adjacent to the dining area. The lounge houses a bar and library with interesting safari books, and has many cosy spots to enjoy the vastness of the surrounding African wilderness.
