Elephant Pepper Camp

Masai Mara

Elephant Pepper Camp Location Map

Elephant Pepper Camp is a luxury safari camp, situated within the protected Mara North Conservancy, and away from other lodges. Elephant Pepper Camp brings people back to nature - no traffic, no permanent structures, just the sights and sounds of the African bush. Nothing rivals sitting around the campfire after an exciting day out in the bush on safari, and just listening to and enjoying the pure, uninterrupted sounds of the magical African night.

Game drives into the Masai Mara National Reserve, and on the conservancy itself, can be enjoyed as part of your safari here. Bush walks on the conservancy, and bush breafasts, are also part of the experience.

For 6 months of the year, the drama of the famous 'Great Migration' unfolds before guests eyes and camera lens. Literally thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather to graze on the central Mara plains, tired and exhausted after their long and arduous trek from the Serengeti plains in neighbouring Tanzania to reach this fresh grazing land.  Daily extended game drives, with picnic lunches, are a major part of your game viewing experience during this natural wildlife phenomen.

The 8 spacious canvas tents are comfortably furnished. They are all en-suite, with eco-friendly flush toilets and traditional safari 'bucket' showers.

The 2 two suites are the ideal accommodation for couples that want extra space and privacy. They each comprise of an en-suite master bedroom and a sitting room, which can be converted into a second bedroom for children under the age of 16 years. The bathrooms have double wash basins, flush toilets and hot water showers.

In order to preserve this special area the camp is seasonal and closes for just over 2 months of the year, when it is completely dismantled, leaving no trace behind. The camp is also actively involved in and supports the local Masai community, and about 80% of the camp staff are from nearby villages.
