Selous Game Reserve

Beho Beho Location Map

Beho Beho is situated in an enviable position within the Selous Game Reserve - not on the banks or the flood plains of the mighty Rufiji River, alongside other lodges, but in the cooler highlands so as to enjoy the 'cooling breezes' from which its name derives.

Beho Beho has created the true 'essence' of a safari lodge, and offers guests who stay here the opportunity to explore on foot, by boat or by open safari cruiser the splendours of one of the largest game reserves in the world.

Beho Beho's experienced guides will plan your safari programme, whether you need time to relax and be pampered or need to do a 10 km game walk before breakfast in the bush.

The open sided guest lounges and dining areas together with the cocktail bar and 'billiards room' provide a sophisticated setting for post safari relaxation, and the swimming pool and deck is an ideal place to cool off.

Beho Beho has 8 individual very spacious bandas, (stone built and palm thatched cottages) furnished with kingsize beds, Zanzibari day beds, writing desks and comfortable 'suite' furniture. There is also a separate dressing room leading into an en-suite bathroom with twin basins and an 'open air' shower. The front of the banda is totally open and extends on to a spacious deck complete with a plunge pool. The banda can be secured for the night with 'tented curtains' or left open as desired.

There is also Bailey's Banda - a private 2 bedroomed villa positioned on the hillside overlooking the main camp, which enjoys stunning views into the valley and the hippo pools. This is a luxurious haven for exploring the magnificent Selous game reserve, but on your own terms - whether it is on foot, in your exclusive safari vehicle or your exclusive private boat on nearby Lake Tagalala.
