Directions

From The Garden Route / Port Elizabeth: Take the N2 from direction Cape Town / Plett / Knysna towards PE / Grahamstown. Turn off the N2 onto the R335 (signposted Motherwell / Markman and there is also a sign right after this sign for the Addo Elephant Park). Travel approximately 50 km to Addo village. Continue through the village on the R335 and then turn left onto the R336 to Kirkwood. After 6 km, you will pass the Belmont B&B, then turn left at the sign onto a gravel road. After 800m turn left and then first right - follow road across Sundays River onto farm and follow signs to Hitgeheim Country Lodge.

From Grahamstown / Eastern Cape Game Reserves: Take the N2 towards Port Elizabeth. Take the Paterson off-ramp (R342) off to the right (also signposted Shamwari Game Reserve). Go past Shamwari (entrance on your right) and continue along the gravel road until Paterson. Continue on the R342 towards Addo and approximately 25 km along the road you will see the Addo Elephant Park turn-off on your left. Continue past Addo (note that the R342 changes into the R335). Turn right onto the R336. Follow the directions as above.
