The private concessions within the Kruger National Park are areas of land where carefully selected operators have a licence to offer all the benefits of a safari lodge on a private reserve.

Crucially, these operators are able to leave the road network within their concession in order to get closer to the wildlife - this is something that is not allowed in the public areas of the National park, even on the guided drives that leave from the National Parks Camps.

Each concession is several thousand hectares, and the lodges that operate inside these areas offer a standard of accommodation and guiding which is comparable to the best of what is on offer in Sabi Sand and the other private game reserves that border Kruger.

Most of the lodges will offer a fully inclusive safari package, which includes all meals, accommodation, and one or 2 guided game drives per day. Some will also include all drinks in the rate as well.
