A Taste of Adventure

This one-week adventure combines the bright lights and natural beauty of Cape Town with a Big Five safari in Amakhala Game Reserve, situated at the end of the beautiful Garden Route. The secluded camp really captures the pioneering spirit of safari and you'll sleep in 1900s style safari tents under starry skies. Each day you'll set off on two game drives through the bush in search of wildlife and between these drives you can relax on your own private deck, surrounded by calling jackals and twittering birds.

Africa within your Reach

During this week-long trip, you'll spend 4 nights exploring Cape Town, from the sweeping vineyards to the sandy beaches. After this, you'll fly up to Kruger for a 3 night safari in Timbavati Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger Park. There are no fences dividing Timbavati from Kruger, so the wildlife roam freely in the bush. What’s more, Timbavati is home to the White Lion, one of the rarest animals in the world. On safari, you'll stay in an atmospheric back-to-basics camp, perfect for both modest budgets and nature lovers.

Christmas in the Cape

This two week itinerary for travel over the Christmas period shows that it is possible to have a good var

You start with 4 nights in Cape Town, and this will give you long enough to explore the major sites such as Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula (including swimming with the penguins at boulders beach), and still have enough time to relax at the beach or spend time browsing some of the city's shops and craft markets.

After cape town you drive to the beautiful De Hoop Nature reserve, where you will have a couple of nights in a self-catering cottage near the beach with it's huge white sand dunes and cool, clear seas.  This is a great spot to visit nearby Cape Agulas, which is the southermost tip of Africa.

From De Hoop you then drive to De Zeekoe Guest Farm in the Klein Karoo, where you can visit ostrich farms and a cheetah sanctuary, or take a guided tour of the famous Cango Caves.

After De Zeekoe, it is only a short drive down to the Garden Route where you will have a couple of days to see attractions including Monkeyland, the elephant sanctuary at Plettenberg Bay, and the Knysna Lagoon.

From the Garden Route it is only a 2h 30 minute drive to The Addo Elephant National Park where you will have a 2 day safari in the second largest park in the country.  Although the park has 'Elephant' in the name it is home to a huge variety of wildlife!

You end with a couple of nights by the sea in Port Elizabeth before flying home.
