Within an easy drive from Jo'burg, there are several attractions which are worth a trip to. 

Lesedi Cultural village

Lesedi is a multi-culture village less than an hour's drive north of Johannesburg.. There are 2 shows daily - midday and evening.  The evening performance is particularly atmospheric.

Accommodation is also offered in the 'village huts', and this gives you the opportunity to stay after the tour groups have left and enjoy the fire and the company of your hosts.

Sun City

Sun City is only a 2 hour drive from Johannesburg, and is renowned for its endless supply of entertainment, leisure, sport and recreation facilities.

There is a choice of 25 restaurants, spectacular theatrical shows, cinemas, bars, nightclubs, live music venues, a world-class casine and a games arcade. There is a fully equipped health club, 11 tennis courts, bowls greens and squash courts, plus horse riding, mountain biking, archery, clay pigeon shooting and quad biking. For children, Kamp Kwena provides literally hours of fun.

Golfers will be in their element as Sun City offers two 18 hole championship golf courses.

Pilanesberg National Park

Surrounding Sun City is the Pilanesberg National Park, an attractive 50,000 hectare malaria-free area which is centred around an extinct volcano crater.  

The Park has over 200 km of roads for self-drive game viewing.

Today, the Park is home to over 7,000 animals including the Big 5, giraffe, hippo, zebra, jackal, hyena and many antelope, and there are also over 350 bird species.

Victoria Falls

Only a short 2 hour flight from Johannesburg, a trip to Victoria Falls is certainly memorable.  

One of the 7 Wonders of the World, the Falls are situated between Zambia and Zimbabwe, and the sheer noise of the Falls as they cascade over the edge into the deep gorge is deafening.

The misty clouds of spray, occasionally broken by rainbows, are visible from over 40 km away.
