The Karongwe Private Game Reserve is an 8,500 hectare fenced private game reserve, just 45 minutes from the world-famous Kruger National Park.
Home to the Big 5 of the African bush (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant), morning and afternoon game drives with experienced rangers and trackers take guests on a voyage of discovery.
Guests may also see cheetah, spotted and brown hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, impala and bushbuck to name a few of the many other 40 wildlife species to be found here. Hippo and crocodiles are often spotted along the river banks.
There are also over 365 different bird species.
The lodges in the reserve offer guests the opportunity to either relax in 4* or 5* luxury, or experience an authentic African safari under canvas. Inbetween game drives and bush walks, all the lodges have a pool where guests can relax around and soak up the African sun.

The 24 intimate air-conditioned en-suite rooms at Shiduli feature rich, earthly tones and aromatic timber. The huge romantic beds fitted with crisp white linen are swathed in flowing mosquito nets under the canopy of a thatch roof.

Chisomo Safari Camp features 22 safari tents, set in the African bushveld, under majestic apple leaf, jackalberry and tamboti trees. All tents, with en-suite bathrooms, are facing the beautiful Makhutswe River and wildlife can be viewed from the decks as it emerges from the reeds for grazing.
