Ocean Eleven Guesthouse
Ocean Eleven is a Cape Cod colonial-style guest house, situated on the famous cliffs of Hermanus overlooking the ocean.
Hermanus is a quaint coastal town, only a 90 minute drive from Cape Town. It is a destination that should be included on any travel itinerary to Cape Town or South Africa, and during the whale watching season it offers some of the best whale watching in the world.
Although the village is small, there are a myriad of things to see and do.
A host of adventures await you, from sea kayaking to paragliding to great white shark diving to golfing.
The Hermanus Golf Club offers world class golfing and the famous Arabella golf course is minutes away.
The pristine beaches, charming village shops, variety of restaurants, cliff paths and nature reserve, all nestled between an incandescent mountain range and the spectacular Atlantic Ocean, make Hermanus the perfect destination for a coastal holiday.
This luxury guest house exudes all the grace and style befitting a destination which has the reputation of being the Riviera of the South. The main house was built with all the high ceilings, tall windows and teak floors that made Colonial architecture so utterly elegant, and all these features - and thus the grace and style - have been retained to this day.
Ocean Eleven boasts 10 beautifully appointed rooms. Every bedroom has an all-embracing sea view over Walker Bay. There is also an apartment which is ideal for families or friends travelling together.
Breakfast is included.
Children under the age of 12 can only be accommodated by special arrangement. Rates available on request.

On leaving Cape Town, you will visit the historic town of Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands, where you will have the opportunity to sample the fine wines and foods of the region, before you head to the coastal town of Hermanus to go in search of whales (if you are there in the right season) or dive with great white sharks (if you are brave enough!).
Next you have a couple of days to explore the beautiful Garden Route coast before going on safari in the malaria-free Pumba Private Game Reserve where you can see Africa's magnificent wildlife in it's natural environment and enjoy the luxury and style of a 5* safari lodge.

The holiday was fantastic - we all had a great time and will definitely go back to South Africa for a longer holiday asap. In terms of feedback, I cannot praise enough the service from your team - repeat business definitely on the way, when we go back. Cape Grace was brilliant - great service, food etc - truly world class. Protea Quays at Knysna - clean, efficient, bit like a Premier Inn - but OK for the money and well located for restaurants etc Ocean Eleven at Hermanus - really great small private hotel - huge rooms, fantastic views, really good staff and generally very good value - would recommend and stay there again on another visit - the apartment was massive and the suites lovely - also free port and sherry, chocolate, crisps etc - as per the Cape Grace. Everything went as planned - thanks again.
What a fabulous holiday ! The package Anneli put together worked really well in line with our own requirements. The Cape Grace was truly outstanding, from the initial welcome to the high class standards shown throughout inc rooms, restaurants, car shuttles (BMW 7 series), bars, friendly staff. Ocean Eleven Guest House was also fantastic, even if we only stayed one night ! Great location, rooms with exceptional space, helpful and friendly staff.
We're back in the UK now after the most incedible holiday. I just want to say thank you for putting the trip together for us it was superb. The game lodge at Exeter River and the staff there were amazing, we saw so much wildlife, fantastic. The Windermere at Port Elizabeth although there only one night was very good, again the staff were so helpful. Tsala Treetop is almost beyond words, what an amazing place. Ocean Eleven at Hermanus was all the web site said and more - we had whales playing in the bay right outside our window. And last but not least the Alta Bay in Cape Town, you could not find a more friendly place if you tried, our stay there was the most enjoyable we have had anywhere in the world. So it's 10 out of 10 to you and a very big thank you.
The Ocean Eleven Guest House in Hermanus was lovely. Cliff top location with great views of the town, only about 5 minutes walk away. The apartment was HUGE with 2 bathrooms and a proper kitchen. We had a real fire each evening and didn't need to go out to eat (which was a bonus when the 8 year old needed to get some sleep), since there is a great centralised food delivery service on the end of a phone who will collect from up to 3 different takeaway restaurants and off licences - what a great idea. Breakfasts very good and we saw a whale from our garden on the first day.
Hermanus was a great thrill as the whales were in the bay. Ocean Eleven is THE place to be - we could watch the whales playing, from our bed!!! Just spectacular. A lovely house, great breakfasts and such friendly staff.
We're back from the holiday, and I wanted to thank you for all your help organizing it. We had a wonderful time, we liked all the bed and breakfasts you booked for us (especially Ocean Eleven, we fell in love with it!), the game lodge was great and the directions very useful. I'll definitely get in touch with you again when we decide to go back, and I'll recommend you to any friend that's thinking of going to South Africa.
