Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may normally be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival, and must be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

All meals, local beverages, daily game drives and guided walks to San Rock Art are included.

Children Policy

Children aged 12 years and older are welcome. Adult rates apply.

Other Useful Information

Please advise Reservations in advance of Wellness Centre treatments for the day of arrival in order to avoid disappointment.

Amex, Master, Diners and Visa cards are accepted.

Sanbona is MALARIA FREE - no tablets / syrup needed.

What to take:

Walking shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, sun protection cream.

Cameras and binoculars.

Warm clothing - anoraks / jackets, gloves and scarves (for winter) for game drives.

Light clothing and swimming costumes for summer.

Sanbona Reserve facilitates gate transfers to and from the lodges. The following pick-up times have been implemented.

Arriving guests - pick-up at Main Gate midday and 4 pm - via Khanni Lodge - arriving Tilney Lodge at 1 pm and 5 pm.

Guests arriving earlier can make use of the excellent restaurant and rest rooms at the Akkerboom Farm Stall, on the R62, approximately 300 m west (Montagu) of the Sanbona turn-off - before proceeding to the Main Gate. Akkerboom offers a wide selection of deli-items, and an excellent breakfast and lunch menu. They are also very well known for their bottled organic Oaklands apple and pear juice.

Departing guests - depart Tilney Manor 11 am via Khanni - arriving at the Main Gate at midday
