Situated in the Kwazulu-Natal Drakensberg, halfway between Johannesburg and Durban, Montusi is the only upmarket destination in the area with a full and uninterrupted view of the Drakensberg's most famous part, the Amphitheatre escarpment.

Activities include hiking, horse riding, trout fishing, golf, swimming and even trapezing.

The swimming pool looks out at the escarpment. The surrounding rocks have provided inspiration for this unusual and beautifully crafted pool which makes it the guest's favourite place in summer.

The intimate restaurant (with a log fireplace) is renowned for sumptuous local cuisine with innovative menus.

All the suites have panoramic views of the Drakensberg's Amphitheatre.

The peace and quiet, like the homemade chocolates, are quite addictive !
