Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge by this time, so you can relax and check into your room before going out on your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive. Please be advised that ALL the gates into the reserve close at 8 pm.

Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests. Late departures times may be arranged, subject to availability of suites.

Published Rates Include

All meals, drinks (excluding premium brands), laundry, daily bush walk and morning / afternoon game drives are included. PLEASE NOTE: For self-drive visitors, the cash entrance fee of R150 per adult and R100 per child (subject to change) to enter the reserve is NOT included. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded and are payable directly to the lodge (rates on request).

Other Useful Information

All the suites have air-conditioning, and a private rim-flow pool. The en-suite bathroom also features a secluded open-air shower.

Full internet and email facilities are available in the business centre.

The library is home to an invaluably rare collection of works of African literature dating back to the turn of the 19th century. Should you wish there is also a surround sound plasma screen audiovisual console, and guests may enjoy an afternoon viewing wildlife programs from the DVD collection or television if they so please.

The Mateya wine cellar is available for private dining, offering a more distinctly elegant setting. And for a spectacular view of the plains, both the glasswalled main dining room and lounge deck afford uninterrupted panoramas of the reserve. Bush picnic lunches are available on request and on all guided walking safaris.

The wellness centre facilities include a well equipped cardiovascular gym, a jacuzzi, body and facial treatments. The therapist is of an international standard with extensive training and experience in the field.
