Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge around this time, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.

Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Any variations on these times must be advised prior to arrival and are at the sole discretion of the Camp Manager.

Published Rates Include

All meals and snacks, teas and coffees, game drives in open 4- wheel drive safari vehicles, spotlight game drives at night, game walks, tourism levy, laundry services (only for guests staying 2+ nights) and transfers to and from the airstrip at MalaMala Game Reserve are included. PLEASE NOTE: All other drinks are NOT included. IN ADDITION: For all visitors, there is an entrance fee of R30 per person to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, payable IN CASH at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R150 per vehicle cash entrance fee. All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 5 are not permitted to dine in the boma or to be taken on game drives, unless their parents have reserved sole-use of their Land Rover - rates available on request.

Other Useful Information

All water in the camp is filtered to the highest standards and is guaranteed perfectly safe for drinking.

A babysitting facility is available at a nominal fee.

Mala Mala retains the exclusive use of the 33,000 acres / 16,000 hectares that make up this property. The lodge does not traverse over other reserves, nor do they have traversing rights over Mala Mala's property.
