Bateleur Camp is located in the Londolozi Private Game Reserve, a 14,000 hectare exclusive safari destination situated in the heart of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Built in 1926, 4 original rondavels now house a wine cellar, an early bedroom, a library and an internet / information room and presentation area, where guests can learn more about Londolozi's role in conservation development in Africa.
With magnificent river views, private plunge pools and leisure decks, Varty Camp's 8 chalets and 4 suites offer the height of relaxation in tranquil surroundings.
The main deck is the perfect setting for delicious breakfasts and lunches, and dinners of Pan-African cuisine are enjoyed in the dramatic boma illuminated by dozens of lanterns.
3 meals daily including all teas and coffees, 2 scheduled game drives daily in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker, interactive bush walks (one hour) accompanied by an experienced armed tracker, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water, and laundry service are included.
The rate excludes all other extras, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable Sabi Sand entrance fees.
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.
