Lion Sands River Lodge
Lion Sands River Lodge, in the southern portion of the 65,000 hectare Sabi Sand Game Reserve, has been built on the banks of the Sabie River, facing due East so that it catches the sun as it rises over the Kruger National Park.
River Lodge is the soul of the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. It is positioned on a site with trees dating back 800 years, and is about spirit, warmth, nature and relaxation. Hosted by a family of staff that will make it feel like home from home, come and relax, enjoy and experience African hospitality at its finest.
The ranger and tracker teams have been carefully selected to make certain that your safari experience will not only meet but exceed your highest expectations.
The rooms are linked to all areas by raised wooden walkways.
The main swimming pool is one of the best game viewing spots in the summer months, with an uninterrupted view of the river and the bush beyond.

2 game drives in open Land Rovers, 3 meals daily, game drive refreshments, teas and coffees, and Skukuza airport transfers are included. Subject to weather conditions, the rate also includes bush breakfasts and bush dinners, bush walks, full moon walks, wildlife lectures, safari lunches, hippopotamus river tour and astronomy.
The rate excludes curio shop purchases, laundry service, all beverages, health spa treatments, telephone calls, staff gratuities, any other road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable Sabi Sand entrance fees.
Children aged 10 years and older are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 10 can only be accommodated IF the entire lodge is block-booked by the same group of family - rates available on request. Children under 16 years old are not allowed on bush walks.
