Rooms may be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival, and must please be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children aged 5 years and older may go on the guided game drives that are available to book seperately. Babysitting services are available for younger children.

The shuttle service will transport you to Sun City for a small charge.

Other services are: Covered parking, Babysitting and cots, 2 bomas, 2 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, Children's playground, Table tennis, Volley ball, Outdoor chess, Trampoline, Bush putt, Pool Table, The Wildlife Centre, Game drives. Room service is available from 7 am to 10 pm.

There is the option to do a brief one-hour bird and tree identification trail around the lodge or opt for the more extensive two-hour walk that takes you deeper into the park and into more detail. Subject to number and availability.

The focal point of the sunrise and afternoon game drives is game and bird identification. From September to March, the lodge also offers a more leisurely sundowner drive, with sundowners and game viewing by spotlight, or make a whole evening of it with an afternoon drive combined with a bush braai at the boma.

Then there is also the unique experience of a 130 metre underground tunnel leading to the Hide. The perfect vantage point for an intimate look into the wild, without being detected yourself. Or if you'd prefer to stay in, you can always catch live wildlife on the Wildcam facility in your bedroom.

Normal Game Drives*:
January - March: Morning drives at 5.30 am and afternoon drives at 4.30 pm.
April: Morning drives at 6 am and afternoon drives at 4 pm.
May: Morning drives at 8 am and afternoon drives at 3.30 pm..
June / July: Morning drives at 8 am and afternoon drives at 3 pm.
August: Morning drives at 8 am and afternoon drives at 3.30 pm.
September: Morning drives at 6 am and afternoon drives at 4 pm.
October - December: Morning drives at 5.30 am and afternoon drives at 4.30 pm.

Cost of Game Drives: R200 per person*
Cost of Game Drive/Bushbraai: R200 per person*

Park entrance fees for self-drive visitors into the Pilanesberg National Park are now as follows:
Adults: R45 per person; Pensioners: R20 per person; Children: R20 per person; Vehicles: R15 per vehicle*
