Ashnil Aruba Lodge

Ashnil Aruba Lodge

Tsavo National Park

Ashnil Aruba Lodge Location Map

Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of theTsavo East National Park in Kenya. This relaxing lodge is an ideal base from which to explore the Park on daily game drives and gives you the unforgettable opportunity to see Kenya's wildlife at close quarters. The lodge is ideally located on the northern bank of the Voi River looking across the Aruba Dam.

Most famous for it's herds of red elephants, Tsavo is also home to lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra and over 500 species of bird including ostrich, kestrel and white buzzard.

Tsavo is also home to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, which provides a safe haven for the now endangered black rhino, whose numbers dwindled dramatically in the 1980s due to poaching within the Park.

The scenery in the Park is just as impressive as the wildlife. Tsavo East is home to open savannah plains, broken by the Galana River and dotted with baobab trees, and scenic highlights include the Yatta Plateau, which is one of the world's largest and longest lava flows (300 km long), and the Lugard Falls, which are actually a series of fast flowing rapids along the Galana River.

There are a total of 40 deluxe en-suite rooms in total, including some family rooms, plus 6 luxury safari tents too.

The main guest areas at the lodge including an open sided restaurant, veranda deck, bar and lounge area are shaded by a canopy of acacia trees. All meals are buffet style with a variety of food being offered for all tastes mainly oriental, international and African cuisine. The swimming pool with sun loungers has uninterrupted views of the watering hole one of the best places to see the wildlife having a drink.
