Encounter the supreme wildlife of Africa, including the Big 5, at the 22,000 hectare malaria-free Entabeni Private Game Reserve reserve, situated in the beautiful Waterberg mountain range less than a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg.

Guests can also experience scenic helicopter flights, stargazing in the observatory, quad biking and sunset lake cruises. There is also the opportunity for guests to experience their safari on horseback, which takes guests through unique unspoilt wilderness areas into exciting, rugged terrain, or a visit to the Pedi Cultural village can be arranged, giving guests an authentic glimpse into the lives, celebrations and traditions of one of South Africa's indigenous tribes.

The rangers often encounter lion on game drives, and the elephants that roam the reserve and make for awesome viewing. Rhino are very frequently encountered.

The ever elusive leopard can also be seen if you are lucky, and even a fleeting glance is a privilege and definitely a highlight of any safari.

There are also an amazing variety of birds on the reserve, with as many as 380 species in the summer months.

Ravineside Lodge comprises of tranquil thatched wooden lodges on stilts with bird's-eye views. Each lodge has 3 or 4 luxury en-suite bedrooms with an African ethnic theme, making this ideal for families or groups of people travelling together.

A private open plan lounge and bar area extends to the open sundecks. From here, guests can indulge in bird and game watching and experience the beauty of the ravine with the rippling sound of water far down in the valley, or relax at the pool and boma overlooking the grass plains nearby, which always offer superb game viewing.
