Kapama River Lodge
Kapama River Lodge is situated within Kapama Game Reserve, a 13,000 hectare reserve situated near the Kruger National Park. Characterised by rolling savannah grasslands and riverine forests, the reserve supports no less than 42 mammal species and approximately 350 bird species. Amongst the mammal species is the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Guests can enjoy day and night game drives on open safari vehicles in search of Africa's wildlife, in the company of experienced rangers and trackers. Guests are also encouraged to join their ranger on a morning bush walk to explore the environment.
A large rim flow swimming pool with a view towards the Kapama River offer guests the opportunity to relax under the African sun while having the opportunity to view various animals drink water from the river dam.
Each of the spacious 42 rooms features a full en-suite bathroom and enjoys uninterrupted views of the game reserve.
Meals are served buffet style and offer a variety of Pan African dishes.
Three meals per day (special bush dinners can be arranged); teas, coffees, cakes, pastries and afternoon teatime snacks; two game drives daily (including night drive by spotlight) in open safari vehicles, accompanied by experienced rangers and expert Shangaan trackers; complimentary road transfers between your Kapama accommodation and Eastgate Airport are included.
The rate excludes telephone calls; shop purchases; spa treatments; personal bar account, room mini-bar consumables and sundowner drinks; other incidental charges.
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives, except on a specially arranged 'bush bumble' safari. Children between 6 and 12 years are permitted on game drives at the sole discretion of the guide.
