Relax and enjoy the luxury of Dugong Beach Lodge, situated on the Indian Ocean coastline of Mozambique, within one of the most unique marine and wildlife sanctuaries - 'The Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary'.

A typical day begins with a lovely breakfast savoured amidst the tranquil surroundings of nature. Water sport enthusiasts can look forward to an array of activities, including salt water fly fishing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, pedal boats and kayaks. Shallow and deepwater reefs reveal beautiful creatures such as great and leatherback turtles, sailfish and manta ray, to name a few.

For the less energetic, quite simply, relax and enjoy. The idyllic setting may even include large flocks of flamingoes and pelicans, truly a sight to behold.

Later, enjoy sundowners followed by a scrumptious dinner. Afterwards, gaze at the stars in an African night sky while you ponder tomorrow's 'typical day'.

Air transfers from Vilanculos International Airport to Dugong Beach take 10 minutes, or boat transfers take 30 - 40 minutes (depending on the tide).

The lodge has just 10 luxuriously appointed framed tented rooms with hardwood floors, en-suite bathrooms, huge feature baths and outside showers, all under thatched Jekka grass canopies.

All rooms have fans and mosquito nets, and open onto a private patio.
